Category three is the term used by insurance agents and adjusters to mean outside water or sewage. Category three water is heavy on contaminates. The protocol is to remove any item that might have been saturated with the flooding.

After calling SERVPRO of East Memphis we realized that the floor needed to come out entirely. The next step is to disinfect the floor, where the carpet had been previously. Drying the area was also necessary after the new carpet had arrived.
